Hi all,

can anybody explain me why exporting .ai file as GIF with Photoshop creates an image with much more high quality that with Illustrator (in both case I used File -> Save for web -> GIF 128 dithered default setting).

Thanks a lot.

Cheers,

Edo

Can you upload some examples? I don’t find your statement to be true in my usage, but I never use default seltting and rarely save dithered GIFs.

The Photoshop GIF is antialiased. The Illustrator GIF is not.

If you trun on the option to antialias the GIF you save from Illustrator, you will get the same results. In my copy of Illustrator CS, the Save for Web command antialiases by default.
