Photoshop 7.0 problem

"Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. sorry but this error is unrecoverable." Photoshop gives me this error. I’m using windows XP. When ý was using WinMe, it was running without a problem. please help me.

This likely isn’t a Photoshop problem. The error states that its a problem with your hardware, so that’s the first place I’d look. Run some diagnostics on your machine using Norton Utilities. If it finds nothing, then perhaps you have some bad RAM, a bad hard drive, mobo, etc.

You mentioned using Win XP. How did you install XP? Did you upgrade over ME? Did you wipe your drive and do a clean install of the OS and programs? Is this a new computer entirely?

Also give us some system specs (make of motherboard, make/amount of ram, processor speed, video card, etc…

i agree. the first thing i’d do is look for an updated driver for my video card at the website of your video card’s manufacturer.
