Can you upgrade to Photoshop CS from 4.0, 5.0???

Hello,

Just a quick question, does anyone know if you can use the UPGRAD version of Photoshop CS to upgrade from the full version of 4.0 or 5.0 or must you have 7.0?

I upgraded from 4, with no problems. You have to call a 1-800 number and they give you a code to get beyond the install screen.

You can. One way is to call Adobe and have them walk you through their defective serial number checking routine so that it can recognize your previously installed copy. Another is to have the CS install routine read a valid CD. I happened to have a friend who had PS 6.0 and the CS installer was able to use that as verification.

Thanks for all the help, while I was waiting for your replies I came t the same conclusion [:)] , in case anyone else is having the sam issue, here is the number:

Got to a REAL, LIVE, PERSON in 10 sec., gave some info which I made u as I went along (phone,address,etc.)
