I have a P4 1.7Ghz machine with 512MB of RAM and 220GB of HD space and ever since I upgraded to PS CS my machine seems to take much longer doing tasks than it used to. I really notice that everything comes to a grinding halt if I try to copy something from Illustrator CS and paste it into a doc in PS CS. Any one else notice slower performance? Is there something to check? Thanks!

Steve,

I think you’ll find numerous such postings scattered about the forum on this topic. One thing you might explore, is reducing your RAM allocation if you’ve bumped it up any. I’ve read that better performance has been obtained with a 40-50% allocation.
