Updates and Adobe online error

My photoshop ver 7.0.1 usually checks for upates on adobe websites automatically. Lately I am getting an error message as follows:

File could not be downloaded.

Canot login to the server. The username or password is incorrect. 21:-131

Any suggestions in what’s going on would be greatly appreciated

When the online manager goes online it checks to see if there are any updates FOR ITSELF – i.e the online manager sofware. That’s what it is choking on. There are no updates for Photoshop. Nearly everyone just sets AOM to never check for updates, and occasionaly visit the adobe.com website to check for themselves.
