Okay so I recently purchased cs4 to update from CS3 and I have installed it without problem. But when I open my images they appear in different shapes and most of them are barely visible due to a crosshatch pattern on them. I can’t figure out what is wrong with them its not my computer because i never had a problem with CS3. Can someone help me I need this resolved ASAP.

Try turning off OpenGL. You’ll find it at Edit>Preferences>Performance. Don’t know if that’s what’s causing your problem, but if it’s display related, I go there first.
