I use CS3 on Widows XP.

I found the hex numbers in PS and AI colors are different.

When I input the same hex number in colors, the outcome colors on the web are different.

Could anyone tell me how to make them the same colors please?

Thanks.

Make sure both documents are in RGB.

If they are, then make sure both documents use the same color profile (sRGB or "untagged" for web) and that the color settings in the applications are synced and set to sRGB. (You can choose color settings globally from Bridge).

The link suggested by "Phos±four dots" seems to only concern consistent color reproduction between applications, screen, and print. And focuses a lot on spot colors. This won’t affect if you’re doing what i think you are.

Ps: The hex (hexadecimal) values are just RGB values in a convenient format for e.g. web. The first two digits (0-F, 256 values) is red, the second two are green, and the last two blue.
