Is it possible to do a Batch cropping in Elements?

There is mention of doing a batch file size, but i need to crop a specific portion of the image.

If not, is there a product out there that would do this?

Out of the box, Elements doesn’t have batch cropping. I know of no product or 3rd party plug-in that does this, but I’m not the plug-in guru around here 😉

Tim,

Do you, possibly, mean batch "resizing"? That can be done, but I agree with Ray on the cropping.

I would think you could write a script in PSP 8.1 to do this but the same portion of all images would get cropped. Since PSP scripting is based on Python and not just recording key strokes it is very versatile. Not very conducive to good compositions though.

Photoshop.
Assuming your crop is the same each time.

You record an action with whatever editing steps in it, then play the action back on entire folder of files while you have supper 🙂

Tim,

So, if you have PSE version 2, you would need someone to record this action for you in their full PS version 7 and transfer it to your computer. You would also need to download and install one of the free add-on tools which allows actions to be played in PSE.

If you send the details on the file dimensions and what portion you want cropped I will record an action for you in PS. Please send all details. You can find a link to e-mail me at: www.myeyesviewstudio.com.
