How do you make new texture/patterns.Have the backgrounds but want to make as texture,Like Brick,wood,etc,and save them for future use

You use the rectangular marquee, drag it out to include what you want in the pattern, then go to edit, define pattern, and name your pattern. i think thats it.

Marquee around the image you want to use as a pattern…go to edit>Define Pattern. The pattern is now saved in the patterns palette. Use the Paint Bucket, Layer style or Pattern adjustment layer to use the pattern as a background. To save the pattern palette with your pattern, use the option key on any of the patterns palettes.
