I have no "Sort By" pop-up menu at the bottom of the file browser in Elements 2. How do I cause it to return? I am using Windows 98

I’m running PSE2 under Win98SE.

No matter what I tried, I could not get the buttons at the bottom of my File Browser to disappear — so I don’t have any idea how to get them back!

The almost-universal panacea for peculiar Elements behavior, though, is to re-set preferences.

If you want to try that, here’s how: before you start PSE, be ready to press CTRL-ALT-SHIFT simultaneously. Immediately after you click the icon to start PSE, press and hold the keys until you get a message that will allow you to delete preferences.
