CS3 edits not showing in LR 2.1

I’ve installed LR 2.1 and am still having a problem viewing edits done in CS3 when returning to LR. I’m working with NEF files from a D3. I’m running a Mac Pro OS version 10.5.5

I had the same problem prior to downloading and installing 2.1

anyone have any ideas?

And understand 2.1 is a BETA, not the final release.
