While I’ve never made an animated rollover and am not exactly sure what you mean, I’m guessing you are referring to the use of animated images in a rolloever. Is so, then I’ll just suggest you keep in mind that the rollover process is merely a javascript process that controls how images are presented in a browser. So, I’d suspect any image, be it an animation or not, should be usable in a rollover, whether that rollover is created through using IR or not.
