apple bubbles

hopefully someone could help? i have to create sparkling water with bubbles rising to the top of the glass but the bubbles are apples instead, I need to create a path with small apples getting larger and also some random apple bubbles. i could just resize each one but was wondering if there was a feature which could do this quicker?

I think that I would start with a photograph showing real sparkling water (probably adding small chips of AlkaSeltzer to enhance the effect?!) and then put images of small apples inside the bubbles — possibly using Overlay mode.

1. A pressure-sensitive pen & tablet (Wacom).

2. Create and/or find an apple shaped PS brush.

3. Using scatter & shape dynamics on the brush, with increased pen pressure you will have random shaped/rotated apple bubbles.
