copying pngs from the web

In FireFox, if you right click on an image, you can copy it by clicking "Copy Image" (as opposed to "Copy Image Location"). Unfortunately, doing so makes images lose their transparency (the transparent part becomes black).

I don’t imagine there’s anything that can actually be done about this, but I figured I’d ask, none-the-less.

It’s a *.png. And sorry for the other post. I’ve since deleted it from Google Groups…

Not familar with the vagaries of Firefox, is the png still showing black if you paste it into a html document and reopen it in Firefox?

If the "black" transparent part of the image doesn’t impinge on the subject, then it would be pretty easy to remove and return to transparency. Try the magic wand at a tolerance of 1 to select the black prior to deletion.
