I am trying to print business cards for a client. The text is jagged and not crisp. Is it the font that I chose? PS CS2 with a Epson 2200. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you working at a high enough resolution? Say 300ppi?

You’ll have to divulge more information before anyone can really help.

I guess it can be done but it’s probably better to use Illustrator.

In Photoshop it will probably help IMHO to design for the finished size keeping every thing at 100% Zoom

Also, try the different text antialiasing options to see which works best when printed.

You’ll need a postscript printer to get really sharp text. As an alternate, save your Photoshop file as a PDF, open that in Acrobat or Reader and print from there.

Be sure you’re setting the 2200 to at least 1440dpi.
