before you guys jump me. i spent about 2 hours
yesterday searching through here for the answer and
nothing i found fixed the problem. i was using cs and
had no problems but when i moved to cs2 the tabs on
the palettes turn into big black boxes. i had just
loaded it up and was going to load my brushes when i
discovered it. it is also kind of sluggish after it
loads. any configuring help would be greatly
appreciated. here’s my info:

hp pavilion m1170n
system: xp media center edition
graphics card: radeon x300 series (just updated the driver) intel pentium 4 cpu 3.0 ghz 512mb of ram
free space 141gb
colors on both monitor and system set to 32bit

Not necessarily proof that it isn’t the driver. Turn hardware acceleration down and see if that clears it up.

Either the driver has a bug, or some other utility you have installed is corrupting the UI drawing.
