Preset sizes i Photoshop

Is there any way I can make my own preset sizes i Photoshop? (To use when I open a new document) I have a few standard sizes for images that I use a lot & it would be much easier if I could just save them in the "preset sizes"-list.

Go to File > New, set up the page the way you want it and hit the Save Preset button on the right. Your new page will appear on the New window when you open it and pull down the menu.

Haven´t got any such button... Would´ve seen it if there was. You do mean the "New" dialogue, don´t you? (I have PS 7.0 btw)

First thing:
- Stop top posting

Then - go to your Photoshop application folder on your hard drive.

- presets
- New Doc Sizes.txt

open that in your text editor
read it
once you get to the bottom
add your new custom sizes
by mimicing one of the listings above

you will note that if you start your new line with
" instead of ;

the text line will be picked up by Photoshop
and a new page custom page size will appear at the bottom of the list.

You need to relaunch - of course.

The Save Preset button must be new to CS. In version 7, you can save presets by going to Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0\Required folder and opening the Default New Doc Sizes.txt file in a simple text editor. You should be able to figure out what to do by looking at the format of the document presets.
For example, for a custom document 352 x 240 pixels at 72 dpi, you would enter the following, starting with a title in quotes: "352 x 240" 352 240 pixels

Substitute print for screen if you want 300 dpi instead of 72, and you can substitute inches or mm for pixels, depending on your needs.

Save the file with the new dimensions (I would recommend making a backup copy of the original text file first), and the next time you open PS, your custom size will be in the list.

Actually, the New Doc Sizes.txt file is an informational file on how to edit the file Default New Doc Sizes.txt, which is found in the Required folder.

"my" listings to the top of the list yet.

You can place your custom docs wherever in the list you like. I believe the "custom" selection will always be first in the drop-down box, but the rest are fully editable (delete or add what you like). --
