When the CS2 trial (or upgrade) is installed, is it a change to Windows’ Registry that associates CS2 to a droplet .exe file?

If not, how does Windows know what version of PS to invoke when one initiates a droplet?

Usually, the last one that was installed or run. It’s looked up in the registry.
