1. Is there a way to import AppleWorks fonts, MS Word fonts (etc) into PS?

2. Is there a recommended website, I could visit, tailored to font issues that I could learn from instead of asking here?

3. Would every/any font (pick one) that I decided to use on a website work, no matter what?

4. One last question… can any of you recommend a source for an inexpensive collection of fonts that I could use in PS AND my text docs or do I have to purchase proprietary products for each?

1.– Fonts are not application specific; they’re handled by your operating system. If they are in your fonts folder or properly activated by a font manager, they will be available to all applications. There’s no such thing as "AppleWorks fonts, MS Word fonts (etc)".

3.– Only if the person viewing your site has the exact same font installed. Also, some fonts look better on screen than in print and viceversa.

4.– No, there’s no inexpensive collection of fonts I would recommend except to an enemy. Visit the Adobe type store here.

The FontSite 500 CD is one of the best font buys you will ever find. At the top of the page I’m going to link is a CD for ordering and a PDF of all the fonts. I’ve never seen a better buy of legitimately licensed fonts.
