Photoshop 7.0 quits during start up in XP

Hello, a newbie here. Photoshop running swimmingly until today. When I try to start up 7.0 even from original .exe it gets to the initializing stage and then quits out. Has anyone else had this problem. Or does anyone else have a solution for me since I am on a tight deadline anything would be appreciated.
