Can I open & Edit .dng RAW files in photoshop 6 ?

I tried to open a .dng file in PS 6 and it wouldn't open it, got error message.
Is there a pulgin or some other way to enable PS 6 to open .dng RAW photo files ?

There isn't an Adobe plugin. The first one for DNG was ACR 2.3 working with Photoshop CS (8).

I don't of any non-Adobe plugin that will do this.

Some third party RAW converters, such as Bibble and DxO also come as a plugin. I don't know if that plugin works in PS6, though.

I don't know either, but those 2 don't support non-native DNGs, so would have only limited use. (I upgraded from PS 6 to CS once I bought a digital camera, mainly to handle raw. I wonder whether the upgrade to the latest version of PS would cost little more than buying such a plugin to work with PS 6?)
