Photoshop 7.0 initializing error during installation

During the first seconds of installation, Photoshop responds with a initializing error. "Setup could not find harddrive memory for temporary data, please free at least 963 KB memory and start setup again – error 101" But there is a standard xp temp folder existing.
If possible, please help how to fix this problem

Assuming you have a good amount of free disk space [say at least 1Gb], you might want to try resetting prefs [per FAQ].

Colin – he’s talking about installing, not running Photoshop.
