Portrait help PLEASE!

Someone kindly answered this for me a while ago and I can’t for the life of me find the answer now I need it again.
With a portrait of a person I want just enough detail, say shadow, to recognise the person. 2 colours is fine.
Any help much appreciated.

try: image>adjustment>threshold
or
image>adjustment>posterize and choose the number of colors you want HTH
