Hello,
I have an image (a jpeg file) with black lines, that I want to change to grey lines. It would take forever to select each of the lines. Is there a way to use Photoshop (version 7) to change all the black pixesl to grey pixels ?
Thanks very much,
RW

Can you post a link to the image?
You can try Curves or Replace Color. With care.

You should be able to do it via
select color range
and Hue/Saturation

There are two quick ways to do it.
You can select the black lines in about a second using the Color Range command from the Select menu. But with that image, you don't need to select the black to make it gray. Just use the Curves command (Image->Adjust->Curves).

Pico, Dave, Tacit -- Thanks a million, and more.
I have a full load of courses to deal with, but this summer I am going to do my best to learn more about Photoshop.
Best wishes,
RW
