Hi all,

I’d like to draw a curve as shown in the below image:

Someone told me it’s the same as in Photoshop and GIMP.
But I can’t find usefull information from the documentation.

Any idea how to draw such a "smooth curve"?
I mean, given a couple of control points, to draw a smooth curve that connects all of them?

Thanks.

Use the pen tool. Click to set the first point then click and drag on the second point to create the curve. Once the path is created you can stroke it to create a visible line. There should be several tutorials available to teach this technique in more detail.

I’m thinking now I didn’t understand your question. I thought you wanted to draw a curve.

In the curves dialog box you can just click on the line to create control points then drag them to the positions you want. This results in a smooth curve between the points.

I am using CS2 and CS3 so not sure if it differs in earlier versions.

He may have clicked on the picture of the pencil in the Curves dialog window. That switches to discontinuous freeform mode, where oyu can make a curve that is not smooth. Clicking on the curve button next to the pencil button switches it back to continuous mode.
