in past versions (I’ve now got CS2) – I could control Click the layer (in the layer’s pallette), and it would select the item(s) in the layer – – Now – it does something totally different…

How is it done now?

If you CTRL-Click on the name of the layer it causes that layer to be selected and linked to any other layers which are selected. It’s the "new" way of linking layers instead of the old chain link icon.

If you CTRL-Click on the little thumnail of the layer in the layers palette it will still do what you’re looking for — select all non-transparent areas on that layer.

Doah!!

it’s really throwing me off not having a paperclip column in the layers pallette (for linking) – – I’ve only used CS2 a tiny bit – – and it just looks funny and being that way, I totally forgot it was the thumbnail you click on.

Thanks
