At the risk of reviving an expired equine for further flogging, I am considering Ms. Eisman’s book "Photoshop Restoration & Retouching" to help build my skills in this area. The one thing holding me back is the Second Edition I previewed at a local book store seems to written for PS7 and I am using PSCS. I’ve never worked with previous versions of PS, so I don’t know how it will differ or even if it will be different from PS7.
Can someone tell me:
1) Are there any significant differences between the versions of Photoshop that I will not be able to utilize the materials and lessons? Significant in relation to where menu options are and available commands, not "behind the scenes" improvements. Strictly user interface stuff differences.
2) Is there a pending version of the book that will be focused towards PSCS? I’ve been to the author’s website, but I did not see any information there about this last bit. I want the book, but if it’s a case of waiting a little bit to get the latest version, that’s fine by me. I’ve been drooling over it for a couple of months now and I’m plodding along on my own without it anyway.
Thanks to all!
