Hello you kind and helpful people. Is there any way to copy and paste a selection made in quick-mask mode?

Did you try switching out of the quick-mask mode and copy/paste ?

Yes, but ctr-c seemed to equal cut for some reason, and it never pasted.

Copy and Paste Into does work and produces a new layer using the selection, but saving the selection is the normal method that I employ.
