I am against a wall here. I am trying to save a tiff file from a Raw Converter image. When I do a Save As, the following message pops up "Could not save as @@ because that document is currently open. Try using a different name or close the document and try again."
I have already done substantial work to this file and would rather not close it and lose it. The original is on a CD and I cannot just save the file.
I am running 7.0.1 in a 98SE machine.
Any ideas?

Ahh. Know the message well. You can try saving to c: drive or select all, copy, new document, paste, and then save. Usually happens to me when network connection burps.

Hi Floeter,
Yes , Sometimes this can be a pain. What I have had to do is save the files onto my Desktop in PSD. format but I have been lucky on occasions to flatten the image, save it as a jpg, go back into the "Histry Pallette", undo flatten, and Save over the top of my previous image with PSD. format. It always works but it is a pain.
Regards
Mark

You may be suffering from the Handle Locked, problem. Go to; <
http://www.sysinternals.com> and download Process explorer. Use it to identify the locked handle and unlock it to continue.
This is the first time I have heard of it with Win98. W2k and XP both exhibit this problem, with PS 6 and 7. I have made a change in the Registry which solves the problem for me in W2k, but I don't know the right moves for 98.
