Using a PS action, one kindly provided via suggestion here, designed to reduce noise, I frequently get a message not quite verbatim to the effect: Unable to use paste Command, with a dialogue box to stop or continue. Continue does complete action, but there’s no layer to compare the original background to, as it couldn’t complete the paste command.
Now, I have run this on a very small sample, and it will paste into a second layer, but it’s so small as to be practically useless. I run Mac osX (10.3.5) and PS CS. 768 Megs RAM. The beginning photo is less than 10 Megs, converted in from RAW format, Canon 300-D.
Any workarounds or ideas to explore on how to get this to complete on a full sized file, or are there other things I should check out?
