Those familiar with Maya and about paint effects will have a better understanding about the tool or plug-in I require:
Inside this tool for Maya there is a wrap edges option that can be turned on or off. Having the option on will allow you to paint off the edge of the image area, and the cursor will wrap or switch to the other side of the canvas. Basically it will match to the other side of the image. This feature is awesome for creating texture sheets to apply to 3-d geometry. But, the tool has major handicaps in that it has only 1 undo (that you have to select from a menu no less, no "cntrl Z) and does not support layers, or layer effects.
I know Photoshop has the offset filter but frankly it's useless compared to the wrap edges feature.
Are there any plug-ins or updates to Photoshop that would allow for a feature like this?
