Photoshop crashing on open.

Very bizarre but everytime I open photoshop it goes through the loading process, scanning fonts, etc.. then just crashes like it was never opened. Has anyone else had this issue? I use photoshop on a daily basis and this is new to me. Any info will help, Thanks.

What version?

What OS are you using?

Have you tried resetting the prefs like it says in the FAQ?

Version 7.0 on Windows 2000. Resetting the prefs where? I cannot get photoshop to load far enough to display the pallets.

When you launch PS hold down the ctrl+shift+alt keys and when asked if you want to reset your PS settings file say yes.

v7.0 running on windows 2000. I can’t even get into prefs, it will close before the pallets or toolbar even load.

Thanks for the info.. it worked. After spending the whole day trying to figure this out and it was a matter of three keys.
