Color Pencil Help

I am new to Photoshop and have run into a problem I can't solve: I had been using the color pencil filter to see what it would do to some portraits I have taken and have really enjoyed the effect, however it now colors red insstead of using the colors in the image.

I don't know what I did or how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

Change your foreground and background colors -- which many of the Gallery Effects filters use for their effects.
