Creating a graphic of a record following a tutorial in the July/August 2004 Photoshop User magazine. I need to wrap text in a tighter circle than the + 100% application of the Warp Text feature allows. I don't know if I can explain it without posting a pic, so I will if you need to see it. Am I better off just doing the textwork in Illustrator?

Photoshop CS can do text on a path. Otherwise, use Illustrator or FreeHand.

Or use the Polar Coordinates method, tutorial on this site: http://user.fundy.net/morris/

Sounds like my "radial distort" plugin might do it; it basically bends artwork inside a rectangle into a circle so its left and right sides meet:
