Anyone know how to stop PS8 phoning home? Deleteing web folder contents trick in PS7 doesnt work in

Don't know why you had to delete web folder contents. You could have turned this off in Edit>Preferences>Adobe Online. I bet the same option exists in CS.

Thanks- but no such exists on my version.

I am eligible for a site upgrade to CS, but use it on an internal networked system that does not have internet access for security reasons. If CS will not work without "phoning home" I need to know that before my IT department deletes PS7 from my workstation!

You do, of course, have a firewall? Just set it to disallow PS or anything Adobe access to the outside world. :)

I wonder if this has something to do with the installation being activated and/or registered?
I did both on initial installation and PS hasn't tried to connect yet.

Let me clarify. Idont know PS is phoning home -I just ASSUME it is.Re all this activision buisness.

PS7 does, wanna bet they turned it off in the newer version? Nah, no one would be silly enough take that bet.
