Don't know why you had to delete web folder contents. You could have turned this off in Edit>Preferences>Adobe Online. I bet the same option exists in CS.

I am eligible for a site upgrade to CS, but use it on an internalnetworked
system that does not have internet access for security reasons. If CSwill
not work without "phoning home" I need to know that before my ITdepartment

Let me clarify. Idont know PS is phoning home -I just ASSUME it is.Re all this activision buisness.
PS7 does, wanna bet they turned it off in the newer version? Nah, no one would be silly enough take that bet.PS 7 only does that if you don't turn it off in the preferences.
