Disable automatic updates

When I launch either Photoshop 7 or Photoshop Elements 2 an application is launched which tries to automatically update the initial app. How do I disable the launch of the update application?

Click on the top of the toolbox to open the On-Line Manager.

You can then set Check for Updates to Never
