hi all!

this may sound stupid, however i don’t get it: i created a chess-board pattern (filled box-selection & contour) – then, i distorted the pattern perspectively – suddenly i discovered rather "pixeled" instead of smooth lines (ugly steps).

what can i do??

You will need to use vectors originally to retain the smooth line after distortion. For checkerboard, use the shape tool, or the pen tool to create paths. Then distort. Keep in mind you will never get the shooth look on screen, only print.
