I would like to save an image several times
by fading the effect of a filter in Photoshop CS5.
I want to do it at various stages of the fading process. Unfortunately, after I save an image it is impossible to faded it any further. Why is that?
Thanks!

Can you be more specific about what "fading the effect of a filter" means?

Thanks.

Snapshots is the answer! Apply a filter (100%) and make a first snapshot (snapshot1), then fade the filter let’s say to 80%)and take another snapshot (snapshot2); fade the filter again to your taste and take a third snapshot (snapshot3), then fade again and so on until you have what you want. Then all you have to do is to save each of these snapshots on your hard drive.
PS Go to history panel to make the snapshots.
