I need to know how to make a non-horizontal selection of an image. A sample image is at https://castle.so/dl/4hu9x+s

It is hard to explain.

Please go to below to verify safety of link if you desire.

There are several free photo hosts that allow you upload an image with a clickable link that opens the image.

I used PS7 before I upgraded to CS4, but I’m not about to download something from a newsgroup. I don’t care if it’s safer than a Georgetown Law student’s sex life.

If I understand correctly what you want to do, the simplest way is to use the Lasso Tool or, if you want straight edges to the selection, the Polygonal Lasso Tool. There are other ways but either of these should do it. By the way, why did you post the picture as a PDF download rather than as a jpeg? As Tony Cooper said, you could have used a free photo host or, alternatively, posted it in one of the relevant binary picture groups. Then nobody would have to worry about viruses (any more than normal, at least).
