Photoshop CS3 vs Snow Leopard

Hi there,

on a freshly upgraded Snow Leopard system I experience big problems with Photoshop CS3. It simply crashes when starting. But it never did under Leopard. It happens in both, 32 and 64 bit mode.

I should have checked the web prior to upgrading because the problem appears to be well known. None of the suggested solutions that I found worked:

- General reset of file permissions (I did it using Onyx). - Starting in safe mode and rebooting (PS doesn't start in safe mode, too).

Some problem with the "Menlo" system font is mentioned but I haven't even come this far to selecting it. Photoshop crashes right after starting it.

I write to you hoping that you can suggest some other workaround that I might have missed when searching the web.

I've been using Photoshop CS3 with all versions of Leopard up to Snow Leopard without a single problem. In fact, all programs in the Adobe run smootly and I never experienced a stall.

There must be something else on your side !

I think my next step would be to "Reinstall" Photoshop. I had to do this with Adobe Acrobat 7.

My "solution" was reinstalling OSX with a 10.6.0 disk, installing CS3, updating it and updating the system afterwards. That worked fine.
