How to correct "curved" image?

I need to fix an image that is distorted on one side, due to it being scanned from a book (or so it appears) which did not lie flat. As you can see, the left side is curved upward:

I was thinking maybe the lens correction or some other "distort" filter, but I haven't been able to figure out how to make them do what is needed.

Any ideas? I feel sure that this is something Photoshop can do. I'm using CS4. Thanks!

Try various flavors of Edit > Transform.
