Pen tool - feather

Hi,

If I draw a closed path with pen tool that has sharp angles and then make a selection out of it I always end up with a feathered selection.
How do I make the selection follow the path exactly?

use a hard brush?

after you made a path, go to the Paths panel and with a path selected Alt+click on the Load Path as a Selection button or select Make Selection from the fly-out menu and set the feather to 0
