Hardness Slider Vanished

Using Windows Vista 64 Bit Photoshop CS4-64 Bit.
Recently my Hardness slider for my Brush Tools (B) My Blur Tools and my Dodge and Burn Tools have vanished.
I have no idea why. Please help its very inconvenient without a slider

Reset the Brush tool from the fly-out menu in the corner.

tried, it wont do anything, should I delete my preference file?

The Brush tool is effect, the blur and smudge tool are effected the burn and dodge tools are effect as well

Deleting preferences would be the next logical step.

Next logical step would be to expand the dialog box. That fixes my disappearing hardness slider.

On the other hand, just use the slick GPU assisted feature that displays the size or hardness of the brush.
