Photoshop CS3 in Vista freezes when using text tool

Photoshop freezes when trying to use the text tool. This does not happen on my XP system, only on my Vista system. Suggestions?

Sounds like a flakey font. Could also be a corrupt preference file.

Before anything else try trashing your prefs…details in the FAQs.

Before you do that, reset the text tool.
