have downloaded and intalled photoshop cs3 extended but i cannot see the 3D in the title bar can anyone tell me what has happened to it and how i can solve the problem.

From where? CS3 is no longer available and the only company I know of that sells download versions Adobe software is Adobe.

Nothing happened to it. Assuming you're actually using Extended which should be verifiable using Help / About Photoshop, the current version is CS4 Extended which has a 3D menu item. CS3 Extended has an Analysis menu item. What sort of site has CS3 Extended available for download?
