I recently upgraded to Windows Vista. Adobe Photoshop 3.0 was installed on my prior Windows XP version but did not transfer over to Vista so many of my photos on my hard drive I cannot open.
#1: Is there driver software that I can download so that I can install Adobe 3 or do I have to buy new Adobe software.
#2: If I do have to buy new software, will I beable to open the pictures that I cannot open.
Please and thank you.

Photo Deluxe is NOT the same as Photoshop.
And there is no such thing as "Adobe 3". Adobe is the name of the company which creates many different software titles, each of which has their own specific name.
Which software EXACTLY do you currently have?
The details are important, otherwise, discussions aren't much more than spinning tires and slinging dirt.

The disk reads Adobe Photo Deluxe 3.0 Home Edition for Windows. Obviously a very old version.
#3
What format are the "un-openable" files?
#4
The unopenable pictures are PDD format.
My other pictures that I can open are JPEG image formats
#5
Have you tried to change the compatibility mode to Windows 2000?
#6
wait...
but did not transfer over to Vista
did you install it from the disk?
#7
Vista will not allow the disk to be downloaded.
#8
so... what does that mean. please explain step by step. you put the disk in open explorer, look for setup.exe or install.exe and double click that, then what happens?
we can't guess at what you're seeing or doing. please, you have to tell us if you want help...
