This is my question (sorry for my english)
I have photoshop 7 and pothoshop CS3; can I install them both on my Computer ? (on the same hard disk, maybe in differnt directories)
This because I want to move slowly to CS3, but now I know better photoshop 7. I want to know, if this cause problems..

Thank you so much for the attention

Just install them. They install in their own directories by default.

When I install a new version, I always leave the the previous one installed for a while.

I have 5 different versions of Photoshop on the same hard drive, if that tells you anything.

I left CS on after CS 3 I was afraid I lost image ready
but it's there in CS3
I just uninstalled it yesterday now I am comfortable with CS3 and found everything in it

jump from 7 to CS3 is a bit of a curve so if you have tasks to complete you might want to have both for awhile

one tip : menus- some are hidden now
no layers by little link icon- you select multiple layers with control key

one biggie improvement __ refine selections palette

have fun
