Hi,

I'm looking for a plugin that can arrange a number of same-sized photo into different grid arrangements on the art board. Does something like this exist?

Thankyou

What do you mean by different grid arrangements?

I mean the ability to make the space between photos adjustable. Imagine 4 photos, all perfectly square, positioned so as a whole make up one larger square. Now, this plugin could control the space between them, say 10mm or 100 pixels etc

lol I hope that made sense.

do a forum search. this is discussed frequently but I can't find a link right now. there's a free/postcardware plugin that does grids.

can't seem to find it, I'm new to these forums :(

If anyone can find this utility please post a link.

Cheers

Dave,

Guppy's not looking to produce a grid - sounds to me like he/she wants a contact sheet or picture package whereby the spacing between images is set in a dialog.

Guppy, have you looked at File|Automate|Contact Sheet or Picture Package?

um. yea. sorry. :)

jeez, i'm really slipping lately. sorry!

YrbkMgr,

Yes I have fiddled with contact sheet and picture package, I guess what I'm looking for is something that can add a little more functionality to that concept...

Anyway thanks for the help guys, much appreciated.

Mr Scum (heh heh...I giggle)....

You are certainly not alone in your wish to have more control over Photoshop's auto-contact sheet, (and web galleries), the spacing, the fonts, etc. I can do everything manually, to my exact specifications, but I kinda hate having a less-than-comprehensive feature carrot dangled in front of me, not realized to it's full potential.

We can only wish, pray, and make well-reasoned and -written pleas in the Feature Request sections of these Forums.

Phosphor,

Thanks for your input,at least I know others are feeling my pain towards this issue, think I'll make my way over to the Feature Request section....

Maybe version 8 might resolve this? Or is this wishful thinking on my part?

you can do SOME modification to the web galleries. copy one over to a new directory, rename it and make mods there. they should be in "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0\Presets\WebContactSheet".

just be careful not to mess with the varuables that ps uses to automate the gallery. stuff like %TITLE% and %THUMBNAILS%, etc.

basically if it's surrounded by %%, leave it alone.
