I am opening a new things for all, I am not an expert in Photoshop, i am throwing a question reg. the TIFF format, I need to know that is that possible to do it.

We need to store the Pantone Color information in TIFF format, this is possible in Eps format. We have tried creating a box with a gradient and done a "saveas" to TIFF format, we found that the pantone color information is converted to CMYK, instead of the pantone.
------
Please advice, how to tackle this issue.

Yepp, most image formats use composite pixel colors. Depending on what you actually need the file for, you could also simply just save a greyscale version with a custom channel and have your layout program do the tint. If it's going to be printed as a spot color, you'd have to create an extra plate for it, anyways, and in this case it really doesn't matter much what colors were used during layout, if the printer uses the correct ink during manufacture of the final product. If you will, you could have this all in pink and only for production take out the blue/gold/silver/neon or whatever special color ink.

TIFF supports spot channels but doesn't support duotone. You must select spot colors as an option when saving.
Why TIFF? Many applications won't support that extra information anyway. Save as PSD instead.

How do I do that.....
The reason why we need TIFF is, we are using 3B2 software, this will support TIFF and EPS both, but in one function it will support only TIFF file not eps file, in that place we need to put a image which has gradient mixed with pantone, since 3B2 is not support EPS in that function we are unable to put the EPS, if the TIFF can store the Pantone information then we will be able to get the output, since the job is 2-color.
Since the TIFF not able to store that our pitstop showing that the job has 6 plates, ie. 2Spot and CMYK.
This CMYK occur in that TIFF.
I think now you are clear what we need, please advice.
