How to convert shapes to type ?

Hi everyone!

I have some problem with my font layers of my PSD files. In order to print them I used Layer>Type>Convert To Shape But now I want to change text but I can't as it's a shape now. So how can I do the opposite converting shapes to type and be able to use my font ?

Please let me know, I did this on many files and I don't want to recreate all my text layers from scratch :-(

You can't.

There's no other way.

This won't help this time, but in the future before doing something destructive you might consider Duplicating the Layer first and hiding it.

Of course, if the file is still open you can go back in History...
